Having problems with you mouse in Xorg?

I was recently having problems getting my mouse to work on FreeBSD 5.3 with Xorg.
The mouse was a PS/2 Logitech, so I choose ps/2 during X configuration. When X started the mouse flipped out when I tried to move it.

The solution was to set the mouse protocol to auto in xorg.conf
